Our current church, St. Peter’s Newberg, was built in 1999 – 2000. St. Peter’s has always been a community with rich heritage and a hospitable spirit. When our church was initially built, what is currently being used as the sanctuary was originally purposed for a social hall. All along the way, a plan was issued to build a new church that was intended to be used as the church. As can be seen, we need more space for worship, socializing, and building community. The new church will be an ideal building where the holy liturgy will be celebrated, and our current church will be used as it was intended for, as a social hall! The ‘fulfilling the promise’ campaign is aptly named; for it is true that St. Peter’s Catholic Church has had this plan for many years. Now is the time to realize that plan! However, we need your help in the form of pledges and contributions.
We cannot stress enough the importance of the pledge! Too many times, people think ‘I don’t have the money right now, so I will not pledge.’ However, a pledge is extremely important to get the numbers up to where we need to be to start construction. It is true that monies will be collected at a later date that will in-turn meet the amount that was pledged originally by a donor.
Additionally, every bit helps! Many people think in their minds that my small contribution does not at all matter. Nothing could be further from the truth! Every bit really helps, and we cannot stress that enough. Even if you pledge a small amount, those numbers are extremely important.
Finally, your prayers and your good intentions are invaluable. We need your prayers and support in every way possible. Please continue to pray and discern to give time, talent, and treasure to the building of our new church.

Three great ways to give to St. Peter parish:Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

All major bank’s today allow you to send payments on a one-time or regular basis. Just as you can pay utility bills or your home mortgage this way, you can simply add St. Peter Catholic Church to your list of payees.
Keep it real with old-school envelopes — they still work just fine! Some people prefer paper for reasons of security, and for the significance of having one’s offering laid at the base of the altar during Mass.
Bottom line? Go with whatever method of giving works best for you. Pray about it — making God your #1 financial advisor is always the right approach.
