The Saints: Our Guides

What an amazing blessing we have in the communion of saints! 

Saints are just like us—our ancestors, our mentors, our companions, our siblings. They are genuine, deeply human. They’ve made mistakes and have turned back to God as beloved children.

The saints (aside from the Archangels) walked this earth, facing suffering, joy, pain, shattered hopes, peace, frustration, conflict, injury, and heartbreak… they truly understand our experiences. Most importantly, they grasp what it means to connect with God amidst life’s chaos. They know how to live meaningfully for Him.

Why Choose a Saint for Confirmation?

When we select a Confirmation saint (just like choosing a Confirmation sponsor), it's not about following a rule; it’s about recognizing the value of not journeying alone. It’s essential to know your Confirmation saint not just by name but through their story. They have so much wisdom to share with us about our paths to heaven.

 Choose a saint who connects with you. Learn their story.  But more importantly, appreciate the strength of their prayers. Seek their intercession just as you would ask friends to pray for you. Saying “yes” to a Confirmation saint means inviting them to pray for you!

On November 1st, we celebrated the Holy Day of "All Saints Day."  The day is dedicated to the saints of the Church = all those who have made it to heaven. It should not be confused with All Souls' Day, which is observed on November 2, and is dedicated to those who have died and not yet reached heaven.

We will fill the hall with your work honoring the ​Saints of our Church!
