FAQS
Can I bring my baby/child with me?
Although we love and support life and family, unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children on this retreat. We hope you will be able to truly “retreat” for this short weekend in order to be rejuvenated in your role as a parent.
Where will I be sleeping?
There will be male cabins and female cabins so you will be sharing space with peers of your same gender. We hope that you will use this time as an extra chance to bond with each other and get to know each other as men or as women. You will need to bring a sleeping bag or sheets/blankets. And bathrooms will be a part of the respective cabins.
Is this retreat just for single young adults?
No, this retreat is not just for single people! Married people are welcome too. But please know that we do not have sleeping accommodations for married couples at this facility – there will be male cabins and female cabins.
What if I sign up, but then find out later that I’m not able to come?
Any payment you make is transferable, so feel free to try to find someone to take your place. If you are not able to find anyone prior to Sept. 28th, your $50 deposit will not be refundable. If it is after Sept. 28th and you’re still not able to find anyone, we ask that you pay a total of $150 (including the deposit) since the parish will be short the cost of your registration. So, the best thing to do is to find someone to fill your spot!
I do not have a ride to the retreat. Is there any way I can carpool with someone?
We will do our best to make connections for people to be able to carpool. On the registration form, you will be able to put in your request (or your ability to bring someone).
I have a special diet. Can this be accommodated?
Yes, we can accommodate for six special diet needs: non-celiac gluten free allergies, dairy allergies, nut allergies, diabetic, vegetarian, and vegan. Please note the following from the facilities in regard to special diets:
“Our kitchen staff is able to help those in your group who have special diet needs in two ways: by providing enough variety in the menu from which they may choose, and by making substitutions for some (although not all) menu items in order to give them well-rounded meals. There is a small refrigerator in the dining room where guests may store well labeled food items to help augment their diet as needed. Larger, well labeled items may also be stored in the camp’s main walk-in cooler.
We offer fresh fruit for diabetics as an alternative to dessert, so please ask them to bring
any sugar-free desserts they may wish to have as an alternative to fruit.
Upon request, we are happy to supply the week or weekend’s menu ahead of time in order to help any of your guests with their food planning. Additionally, they are welcome to contact the Guest Services office at any time with additional questions or concerns, (503) 355-2284.”
